Pokémon Yellow is a sequel to the great Pokémon games red/blue/green. But it's not too different from them. Some cool new things in the game are that most of the characters who appear in the T.V. show appear in the game, including Team Rocket, Nurse Joy and many more. Also, you also start off with Pikachu. Then, during the game you can turn around and watch what mood he's in. Pokémon Yellow also contains a mini-game with Pikachu surfing. In Pokémon Yellow, Pikachu walks around behind you at all times, unless you store him in the PC. The graphics are also greatly enhanced. For example, in battle, the Pokémon are much much more detailed and look more like they do in the T.V. show. Pokémon Yellow is released already, so check it out.

There are many things in this game that are different from red/blue. Here are some of them:

  • If you lose to Gary at the lab, his Eevee will become a Vaporeon.
  • If you win at the lab and lose to or skip the battle at the west of Viridian, it will become a Flareon.
  • If you win both battles, it becomes a Jolteon.
  • You start with a Pikachu.
  • The opening scene of the game is different.
  • You meet Jesse and James in the game. They use Ekans, Koffing, and Meowth until they evolve. Meowth, however, doesn't evolve.
  • Pokémon Yellow is in the GameBoy Color format.
